Who writes this Gateway Casinos guide

This guide is independent and covers the casino at 30 Bay St. in Sault Ste. Marie, not the casino itself. This page says who writes it and where its facts come from.

Who writes this guide

The Bay Street desk writes and signs the guide. This shared name does not stand for one person, and no page shows a personal byline. Its pages describe the casino on Bay Street from the outside.

No casino runs this website, and it is not a casino itself. It has no connection with Gateway Casinos or OLG. This site cannot take a bet from anyone or open an account for them. There is no cashier and nothing to deposit. The casino's own website is saultstemarie.gatewaycasinos.com.

Where the facts come from

The Bay Street desk checked the facts in this guide on October 14, 2026. Details about the venue are taken from pages the casino publishes itself. The live site blocks automated reading, so those pages were read through Internet Archive copies. Gateway's list of properties was the second venue source.

For Ontario rules, the guide relies on ConnexOntario, iGaming Ontario, OLG and the AGCO. Distances come from OpenStreetMap points and are straight lines. If the casino leaves something unpublished, the guide states that rather than guessing. That covers a shuttle, a city bus stop, valet parking, EV charging, RV parking, a high-limit room and a poker room. The casino has no hotel.

Forms, comments and accounts do not exist on this site. Page views are counted by a cookie-free script; our server passes your IP address and browser details to a separate tally keeper. Your browser may keep theme and tool settings.

Where the pictures come from

Five of the six pictures are photo-like scenes from an image generator, not photographs. A canal lock at dusk and a highway by a rocky lakeshore do not show the casino. Three others, the Getaway breakfast table and two views of the slot floor, were made from real photographs of the casino. The sixth, the portico on Bay Street, is a real 2013 photograph from Wikimedia Commons, edited to show the casino's current sign without people or cars. No people appear in any picture, and the photograph's source, licence and changes follow below under Image sources.

Image sources

  • Lodge portico on Bay Street, on the page about the drive (parking): the photograph OLG Casino Sault Ste Marie 3.JPG by Fungus Guy, taken in 2013, Wikimedia Commons, licence CC BY-SA 3.0, modified with an image generator. Changes: the 2013 OLG Casino signs on the gable and the roof replaced by the current GATEWAY CASINOS SAULT STE. MARIE sign, after a recent visitor photograph; people, a van, parked cars, road signs, a banner tower and window posters removed; the season and light changed to an early-summer afternoon. This modified photograph is shared under the same licence, CC BY-SA 3.0.

How the guide is paid

The home page is the only page with paid links. Each is marked Ad: one menu button, one block after the first screen, another block close to the end. Every link leads to the same private partner, an online casino. A commission comes to the guide from that partner, and the partner may be replaced. This page carries no paid link.

Short questions, short answers

Is this the casino's own website?

No, the guide is independent and has no link to Gateway Casinos or OLG. It does not accept bets or open accounts. The casino's own website is saultstemarie.gatewaycasinos.com.

When were the facts checked?

The Bay Street desk checked this guide's facts on October 14, 2026. No holiday hours are given, so phone 705-759-0100 before visiting on a holiday.

Why are live table hours missing?

The casino offers live table games, with a dealer at the table. It does not publish the table hours, which games run or how many tables there are. The guide does not guess them or tie them to the casino hours.
